The Aviation Lead Auditor course is a five day program, taught in either English or Spanish, that will enable you to conduct various types of aviation audits including internal, external, third party and airline code share audits. During the training you will participate in practical exercises that provide emphasis on proper technique for quality auditing. The course focuses on Lead Auditor competencies, duties and responsibilities such as how to plan and conduct audits as well as writing audit reports.

The instructors will present an introduction into Safety Management, Quality Management, Integrated SMS Systems and principles of continual improvement. Students will study the varying applicable aviation standards; regulatory, ISO, DoD, IS-BAO, IATA Operational Safety Audits and learn how to assess conformance and compliance. Finally, you will walk away with increased communication skills, knowledge of interviewing, root cause analysis, the confidence to conduct quality audit meetings and corrective action follow-ups.

  • The course includes practical exercises to provide emphasis on proper technique for quality auditing.
  • The course is designed for safety and quality aviation/airline professionals as well as those with several years experience in the industry.
  • For successful completion and issuance of a certificate, a two hour, 50 question exam must be passed.

Course Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 0830-1700 (Friday completion by 1500)
