Q. What is a CHEQ Report? What information does it contain?

A. The CHEQ reports give you the background and safety information you need to make your charter decisions. We exhaustively research the most up to date information available on multiple databases to generate a comprehensive report on indicators and events that could impact the relative safety of Part 135 operators. Our databases are constantly updated to reflect recent activity as well as historical events. The databases searched for each CHEQ report include pilot certificates, aircraft registrations, operator certificates, accidents, incidents, service difficulty reports, enforcement actions, ownership, and management.

Together this data is weighed and formatted into an easy to read executive summary, an ARG/US assigned rating, a graphic representation of the operators three year safety rating trend, and a comprehensive detail of the findings. For less than the cost of catering, you get the most in-depth historical safety analysis in the industry. Please take a look at the sample CHEQ Report we have provided for you.

Q. Do I have to be a subscriber to access CHEQ Online?

A. Non-subscribers are not required to login, simply click here to open the search page. The Search link at the top of the page will also work. You are able to access all the areas of the CHEQ Online web site but with limited functionality. Public access allows for searching our Operator database by operator name, certificate number, city or state. Public access does not allow for searching by aircraft type, aircraft familiar name or by ARG/US assigned ratings. Additionally, the ARG/US rating is not displayed in search results lists. Rather a “Rated” or “Not Rated” entry will be displayed to identify that ARG/US has performed a background check for that operator and that a CHEQ Report is or is not available. Furthermore, the operator detail view does not show all the information available to a subscriber. Public access users are still able to search, list and view operator information as well as purchase individual CHEQ Reports which include all the information ARG/US has collected for an operator as well as that operators’ ARG/US Rating and three year historical safety trend.

Q. What does a CHEQ Online subscription include?

A. Subscribing to CHEQ Online gives you access to the critical information you need to perform the due diligence for your aircraft charter operations. Included in the subscription is unlimited access for your company to the complete CHEQ reporting database, Trip CHEQ, and up to five operator alert services to keep you informed about your preferred charter operators.

Q. I'm an operator, how do I become Platinum Rated?

A.To apply for the audit to qualify for Platinum status, you must first be an ARG/US Gold operator in good standing.  The highest level of ARG/US safety ratings is awarded to those operators who meet the criteria for Gold, and successfully pass an ARG/US on-site safety audit. The ARG/US audit is a true process audit administered by trained and experienced aviation auditing professionals to evaluate the operator against industry best practice standards.  A Platinum rating requires a functioning Safety Management System, a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, and appropriate written standards, training, implementation, and adequate historical records for all major aspects of operations and maintenance within a charter company.

The ARG/US on-site audit is good for 24 months. In order to maintain your Platinum Rating an ARG/US on-site audit must be performed every 24 months and your pilot and aircraft data must be kept current in the ARG/US ODMP database.
